Success Story Saddam Raut ADCET Ashta 2014

Posted by Suhel Sayyad
Here we bring to our readers yet another success story from Saddam Raut, student of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, ADCET Ashta. He got placed in EInfochips.

Success Story Saddam Raut ADCET Ashta 2014

I remember, Chetan Bhagat, one of my favorite writers, said in The NDTV dialogues:
Destiny is always there. You have to follow your path. Work to the best of your ability.
Success Story Saddam Raut ADCET Ashta 2014

I disappointed in previous interviews not because I don’t have the ability, but because of improper way of expressing the thoughts. If I can improve my skill, then you can also. It is just sake of your dedication to your goal.
After getting failure in Persistent interview, I came to know where I am lagging. What are the areas of improvements. And then began preparing with my colleagues and my teachers. Because they know you better than you. Before going to eInfochips India Pvt Lt., I didn’t know aptitude containment; rather I would say prepare for worst. I got only two days after my university exams; these two days were ‘war days’ for me.
In eInfochips campus drive there are three rounds of selection
  • Aptitude test
  • Technical Interview -1
  • Technical Interview -2 + HR interview
Aptitude test covers major subjects like general quantitative, technical aptitude, logical reasoning and so forth. And the TR1 and TR2 on the next day. I cracked the aptitude round and eligible for the next rounds.
Finally the judgment day arrived. It is around 10:30; one of the volunteer announced my name and took me to interview room. After looking at my resume, Interviewer asked me questions from basic subject C, C++, Java, operating system, data structure, project, puzzles. It was very basic to me. Some of the questions listed below. The most challenging part of the interview was, when technical interviewer started questioning. It was a little bit surprising to me in the technical interview, the interviewer bombarded HR questions. It was almost one hour to complete my interview.
  • Question’s on C - double pointer, Storage classes, data types and so on
  • A C program to calculate factorial numbers with recursion and without recursion.
  • Questions on OS -Scheduling, Paging, basics of Linux OS.
  • Questions on Java –Threading, Why Java? Etc.
  • Questions from Microprocessor- why to use microprocessor? What is a registrar? Basic unit of Microprocessor?
  • HR questions like to introduce yourself in brief? Why EInfochips? Goals? And so on.
  • Puzzles, You may find such puzzles on the Internet.
  • And finally in depth, questioning on the project.
Finally, I got selected in eInfochips India Pvt Lt. And Final words for any interview –prepare for the worst, be confident and don’t give up in case of failure. Remember destiny is always there if you have the ability.

On 18th December 2014 the Aptitude test was held at our college. The Aptitude test contains the questions related to quantitative, Operating System, Microprocessor and Data Structure. After giving the test we wait for the result. At 5:30 PM the result was announced and I was selected for next round, i.e. for an interview which was held on the second day.
On 19th December 2014 there were two technical interviews. At 2.30 PM my Technical Interview-I was starting. They ask me questions like:-

  • Program for String Reverse.
  • Context Switch.
  • Process Preemption. When CALL instruction comes how control is transferred from the main program and return to the main program.
This was nearly 1 hour interview and they ask me every concept in deep and I was waiting for the result. After completing my interview I was very nervous about the result. After 30 minutes my result was declared that I was hired. I was speechless and very happy when I got to know that I was selected for eInfochips Company.
This is overall about my interview. I think some basic things which are always important and remember in the campus interview that are Self Confidence, Communication skill and clear the basic concepts.

Success Story Pradeep Sutar ADCET 2014

Posted by Suhel Sayyad
Hello Readers,

Here comes one more success story. This time it is for one of students from Information Technology Deparment at Annasaheb Dange College of Engineering and Technology Ashta.

Success Story Pradeep Sutar ADCET 2014

Here,I am trying to share my experience and some additional things that I think which will help you to get placed.

It was 7th Oct 2014 when I came to know that Persistent is arriving on 10thOct 2014.I was ready for campus .As Persistent have good organizational culture, It is core company for IT and CSE also I had 1year gap in Engineering and Persistent don’t have criteria about year gap;Persistent was my target company.I had collected all the information about persistent before start of 7th Sem.My department had started aptitude tests from beginning of Sem.  I was working daily 30 minutes on my aptitude preparation and as I attain lectures with full concentration my basic concepts are clear. So I just took a review of my preparation.

Success Story Pradeep Sutar ADCET 2014

On 10th Oct there was only aptitude test at RIT, Sakharale. Test had following 3 main sections.

1] Quantitative aptitude+ Verbal aptitude+ Technical Aptitude(60 questions for 60 minutes)

2] Programming skills (Program writing)(1 program for 20 minutes)

3] Communication skills (Paragraph/essay writing)(1 subject for 10 minutes)

Networking, Operating System, Data Structure, Database, Software Engineering all these subjects along with Java, C and C++ were covered in aptitude. I had to write a program for taking user data  about tax ,calculate tax, show records, search records by using name ,id and categorize the user according to amount of tax paid. Paragraph was about Traffic problem in India.

In the evening they announced result and as I expected I was selected for next rounds at KIT.

On 11th Oct, They called me for technical interview at 10 AM. I went into the room, there was senior panel; I greeted him. After that he asked me questions some of them are

·         Introduce yourself.

·         Do you like farming?

·         Why you are interested in this job?

·         Which is you favorite subject?  (OS)

·         What is thrashing? Explain functions of OS.

·         What is page hit? What is virtual memory?

·         Questions about projects I have worked on.

·         Some questions on pointer

·         puzzles

·         Some database queries and different techniques to solve those queries.

·         Which party you going to vote for in this election? Why?

·         Questions about program written at the time of aptitude.

Around 10:55AM my technical is finished. I was waiting for my results. At 4:30PM nearly all candidates were completed their 1stand 2nd technical interviews even 80% were completed their HR interviews also. Till now I was thinking that they have rejected me hence not announced my result. At 4:35 they called me directly for HR interview. When I went for HR I was little nervous because 5 people were sited in front of me, I greeted all of them and they started questioning me. Following are some of questions they had asked:

·         Tell me about yourself in brief.

·         Your strengths and weaknesses.

·         What do you know about our company?

·         About my final year project

·         General knowledge and current technology based questions

·          Are you having any questions?

At last they said we will announce results on 13th Oct but you may start preparing for My Passion Challenge.HR round was lasted about 10 to 15 minutes ,I was confident about my selection. At 1:00PM of 13th Oct they declared the results and I was selected. My parents, teachers and friends always supported and guided me to achieve this.

I would like to say that, “Don’t stop even you have something less than others, instead try to apply whatever you have with you” and success will be yours because,

“Nights may never change but dreams will change,

Lamps may never change but candles will change,

Fortune may or may not change but time will definitely change…………….”

Thanks and best of luck……..

            Some suggestions:

·       Try to understand the basic concepts instead of mugging up.it will save your time and increase you knowledge

·        Always share your opinions, problems, difficulties with someone (Teacher s/parents/friends) who know you very well. Sometimes we are unable to find out our hidden skill, our mistakes; during such situations that person will guide you.

·         Choose your target company as early as possible.

·         Prioritize the work(Extra curriculum, Academic, Campus preparation )

Success Story Arzoo Shaikh ADCET 2014

Posted by Suhel Sayyad
Hello Readers,

We bring to you yet another success story from one of student of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Annasaheb Dange College of Engineering and Technology Ashta. Miss. Arzoo Shaikh got placed at Fizerv. Below is her success story in her own words.

Success Story Arzoo Shaikh ADCET 2014

I am selected for Fiserv. I would like to share my experience with you. I hope it will help you. First of all let me tell you that there is no shortcut to succeed. The thing which I realized during placement can be matter of fact. Of course it is! The only elixir for placement is typical. Yeah! You guessed right. The skill is the primary quintessence of a placement. There is a saying which makes absolute sense out of it.

Success Story Arzoo Shaikh ADCET 2014

“A man who does the common thing in an uncommon way will command the attention of the rest”.
Everything has its USP (Unique Selling Price) which differentiates it from others. And this is the key to success. You must be aware of your unique skill which will not only help you to withstand the competition but also to outstand.
Alright, now let us have a swift glimpse over the campus procedure.
I attended the campus on 16th October , 2014.I was bit afraid but everything went right. The first round was paragraph writing. Five topics were given and we had to write one of almost 300 words and within 15 minutes. The next round was aptitude. The duration for aptitude round was  75 min.1 hour test includes quantitative, verbal, flowcharts, logical reasoning and the remaining 15 min were for technical questions. There was sectional cut-off. Last but not least was the round which includes technical as well as personal interview questions. Technical questions were based on subjects like Database, Operating System ,Software Engineering ,Programming languages like C,C++,Java .Personal interview questions  were general questions just to check the confidence and communication.
Don’t underestimate yourself and overestimate the others. No one is born perfect. And they, too, don’t expect the hundred percent perfection. An individual effort makes you extraordinary. The group study will definitely help you to utilize more time. It is better to accentuate the best and downplay the worst of you while facing the campus.
Most of the time a panel observes your approach to tackle the problem, responsiveness, positivity, confidence level, grasping, representation skill, knowledge of subject, communication, mannerism and the moral ethics which you carry along.
Dos:
  • Practice the brain storming puzzles
  • Improve the communication skills
  • Nurture the habit of reading
  • Improve representation skill
Don’ts:
  • Mugging up the concepts
  • Impatient to answer
  • Arguing the panel
There is the list of etiquettes which you must go through before facing the campus.

Success Story Vaishali Gundap ADCET Ashta 2014

Posted by Suhel Sayyad
Hello Readers,

This time we have brought to you a success story from one of the students of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, ADCET Ashta. She got placed in Tech Mahindra during the campus process conducted at ADCET Ashta.

Success Story Vaishali Gundap ADCET Ashta 2014

Success Story Vaishali Gundap ADCET Ashta 2014

In April 2014, there was a pool campus of Tech Mahindra in my college. By knowing this I was very excited and at that time I decided to give my best. I went through all the rounds and then get placed in Tech Mahindra. Now I am glad to share my experience with you all.

The basic eligibility criteria was :
  • For 10th – 60% and above
  • For 12th – 70% and above
  • For BE/B. Tech – aggregate 60% and above
There were total five rounds.

First round-Aptitude test

Aptitude test consisting of total 170 questions and time limit was 90 minutes. There were 15 questions from quantitative and 55 questions from reasoning both verbal and non-verbal.
Though there were 170 questions and time was comparatively less, the skill was to attempt maximum questions in less time. Try to attempt as many questions as possible. Choose those sections first in which you are perfect.

Second round-Comprehension test

In this round, particular topic was given and said to write a comprehension on that in 10 minutes. Topics were related to general affairs. This was to check the grammar and writing skill.

Third round- Extempore

In this, they were giving any random topic on the spot and have to speak on that for 1 minute. It was to check communication skill and the ability to express.

Fourth round-Technical Interview

Technical interview basic technical questions were asked. Most of the questions were related to Java, C#, UNIX, etc. and also regarding final year project.

Fifth round-HR Interview

In HR interview, HR asked general questions like introduction, hobbies, strength, etc. They also asked particular questions just to check your presence of mind, ability to handle situations.
Before Tech Mahindra’s campus I tried for four companies. I could not crack them. Still I didn’t gave up and continued my preparation. So I want to tell you that don’t get disappointed. There will be another better opportunity waiting for you. Have patience and keep trying. Success will definitely come to you.
Hope this will help you all. All the Best for your future.
For achieving all this there were many people who helped me. So I want to thank all of them.

Success Story Akshay Gane ADCET Ashta 2014

Posted by Suhel Sayyad
Hello Readers,

We bring to you an awesome story. Success Story by Akshay Gane, student of Final Year Computer Science and Engineering, Annasaheb Dange College of Engineering and Technology Ashta.

Success Story Akshay Gane ADCET Ashta 2014

Success Story Akshay Gane ADCET Ashta 2014

Hello there; to be honest right now I am in state of commotion but still need to start somewhere. So it is better to start from 6th Oct 2014. On 6th Oct, the date of arrival of Persistent was confirmed. It was told that the panel would arrive on 10th Oct. Only four days were remained and out of which half was already passed. It was very essential to give a strategic kick-start for the preparation.
We formed the group of-Vishal, Amey, Sachin, Pratap and me- for the preparation.  Then we geared up the studies. The motive of group discussion was symbiosis. First we discussed the area to be emphasized. Then we started to discuss the basic concepts of chosen subjects with “real time example”.
Each of us actively participated in the discussion. Once we done with each subject, we revised it.
On a following day we had to prepare for General Knowledge. This preparation was to be aware of different tools and techniques used in industry e.g. testing tools like QTP, Sellenium etc.
Finally the Judgment Day came. 10th Oct 2014- it was the day first of campus. The venue was RIT, Sakharale. After reaching, I ceased the preparation and settled down mentally. It is easier said than done. But it is essential.
First round was of Aptitude which was constituted of Computer Network, Operating System, Programming Language, Software Engineering, Data Structure, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. It all together summed up 60 questions. The questions were very basic.
The strategy I used is that optimum utilization of resources provided. They had facilitated question paper with flag. Whenever I encountered the question which was either out of reach or time consuming I marked it with flag. It saved the time and provided easy reachability to that question.
This round was followed by Written test which included one program and one passage. The distribution of time was as follows:
Aptitude    60 Min    60 Que
Program    20 Min    1 Que
Passage    10 Min    1 Que

Through program they check problem solving approach and via passage the grammar, vocabulary and content were being checked.
Day second was of Technical Round followed by Personal Interview. I was bit afraid of TR since I was told to be hardcore coder. Actually, it is not truth. Factually your problem solving approach, analytical skill and how much you are conceptually clear is checked.
Once you clear TR you are eligible for HR/PI. Here HR monitors you, analyzes your caliber and dictates your weakness but you need not to worry about. You must be capable of balancing the diplomacy and straightforwardness according to need.
Making long story short, there are several points to keep mind.
  • Explore about yourself and current happening
  • Deepen your knowledge
  • Excel your skills
  • Strategize the plan
At last but not least, as films hit and heat the box-office with three things- entertainment, entertainment and entertainment likewise enhancement of knowledge and enrichment of skill can be achieved with three things reading, Reading and READING.
“If I can then everyone can”.

Hello Readers,

Here we bring to you one more success story. This time it is from Miss. Priyanka Khot, Student of Final Year Computer Science and Engineering Department, Annasaheb Dange College of Engineering and Technology Ashta. Below is her success story written in her own words. Please take this as an inspiration and prepare for your upcoming career interviews ( Campus and OffCampus)

Success Story Priyanka Khot ADCET 2015

Success Story Priyanka Khot ADCET 2015

Hello friends….
I am Priyanka Khot studying in ADCET, Ashta and I am going to share my TCS Interview experience with you all. First of all I would like to thank my friends and my teachers for their guidance and support. The interview was on 6th and 7th October 2014 at RIT, Islampur. Friends, my journey started one month before of the interview, me and my friends started doing the group study for 2 hours after our college time (4:15 PM). We had done the planning for lot of things like aptitude, subjective, coding and HR interview questions. Also we had taken the interview of each other.
TCS was the first company to come for recruitment to my campus….and because of god’s grace I got placed in same company. As like everyone I was also little bit nervous at that time, I faced total two rounds on second day of campus….

6th October, 2014:

On the first day, I am topper so I was directly allowed for email writing round and other my friends gone through aptitude test. The subject of the email was “Congratulate to your friend named Gila Roy for her success of publishing the paper in International Journal and sign it as Alex”. The limit was minimum 50 words should be there. The result was declared at 10:00PM at night and it was given to selected students through SMS by our college TPO Prof. Desai Sir. It was very great moment to see myself in next round of interview. From my college 13 students get selected for interview.

7th October, 2014:

This was the second day where there were three rounds of the interview. We, 13 selected students and Desai sir arrived at RIT on sharp 9:30 AM. TCS committee members told us for sitting in waiting room. I was little bit feared and was thinking about how will be the interview…. And at that moment sharp at 9:50 AM TCS member Mr. Kamal came and said that we are starting with IT and CSE so please come…..and he announced mine and my friend name. It was very shocking for me and also there was excitement about Interview.

I went with Mr. Kamal for interview. There were three rooms named as
1.    Technical Panel
2.    HR/MR panel
3.    HR Panel
He took me to the HR/MR Panel….he opened the door and asked to the insider sir but he said that wait for five minutes. Mr. Kamal said me to stay to the door and he went from there. I was standing there 5 minutes….10 minutes….but there was no any action or reply from the insider sir…then I was feared and thought that sir is calling me or not…and suddenly the door get opened and that great personality with big smile on face said me that “COME INSIDE” …I again asked for permission to get inside that “May I come in Sir”… he said “YES YES”…”HAVE A SIT”…but I said that “YOU FIRST SIR”…but that great personality said….”IT’S NOT AN ISSUE PLEASE TAKE A SIT”…then he started with big smile with saying GOOD MORNING…. I also replied the same….
  • The first question was “Tell me something about yourself?”…I replied first with my name, diploma college name and performance, Degree collage name and branch year, achievements, goals(short term, middle term and long term), ethics of my life, family background…then he stopped me there and asked me about my diploma project…..he was asking me the of project details up to 15 minutes….I given all answers  of it….
  • Then he saw my resume and asked “WHAT IS THIS PURDUE UNIVERSITY COURSE?”….I replied with all the details of the course….
Next he said that you are in process of Microsoft certification level1 course then tell me the flow of execution of a file….I told……
Then he asked me the question about “database integrity constraints, mapping constraints with example of each….how we define structure in C and C++….difference between function overloading and function overriding…..one program for overriding function……why it is used”….
  • Next he said that you have written here that you know the “Dream-Viewer ” tool then tell me “What is the use of it…..Which are the different languages it supports…..can you write one program for creating table within table using HTML…..write a program to display sum of two numbers using PHP”…..I done with all questions…
Next question was “What are your Strengths and weakness???.....Tell me what is creativity with one example happened in your career????”…..I had given very nice example on that answer he said “GOOD GOOD GOOD”….The answer was…( Example of my creativity is when I was living in hostel. One day my friend said me that she lost her mobile. She said that she is unable to purchase new mobile because she was belonging to poor family background, so I was feeling very bad then I decided to collect money and buy a new mobile for her. So I started thinking about and I got an idea. I went every room in hostel and collected old newspapers and ruff notebooks. These all things I sold in market and I got 2000Rs. I bought a mobile of 1500 Rs. and gave her. And from remaining money I bought chocolates, gave to every hostel girl. She was very happy and I was feeling very good.)
  • The most interesting thing he asked me that “You have given in your resume that you know the GERMAN language…..i said not deep but little bit I can speak…. Then he said that say in german that “GOOD MORNING, TODAY IS MY INTERVIEW.”…..i replied….he was very happy by hearing that….”
  • Then finally he said that “any questions for me Priyanka?”…..First I asked “what is your name?”….he replied Mr. Sandip…..next question from my side to him was “Sir, I have heard about your company’s lots of projects…but the Med Mantra project of Hospital Solutions is very interesting…..which have so many facilities for people…..can you tell me the progress and details of that project???”….sir given me very nice information about it…..
  • At the last he said “Ok Priyanka ….have a nice day…..”
Like that from 10:10 AM to 11:10 AM total one hour interview…….which was very good……
Then I was waiting for six hours in one room for next round…..in between that all my friends done with all the three rounds….i thought that I was out from first round itself…..but at 5:05 PM Mr. Kamal sir again called me for interview…..again the panel was “HR PANEL”…….

I asked for the permission to get enter…..he said yes…..and then the first question was again “Tell me about yourself?......what is your father?.....I replied FARMER….then he asked….how much field you have?.....i told 4 acres…..which type of crops you have in your field?.....(at that time in mind there was one question raised that “Will I going  to do the farming in TCS??”) ……..then he asked me about my bro…..his college name…studying year….. then he asked me ….”Tell me about your ambition?.....why you have taken the admission to ADCET, ASHTA?”….I replied very well for this questions….at the last he asked that ....”Is there any problem regarding your relocation in Chennai????” ….I said no not at all….then he said me that “THEN MEET ME IN CHENNAI”…..at that moment I cleared that “I GOT THE JOB”

Like that it was total 18 Minutes interview…….

And at the next day that is 8th October 2014…..the result was declared…….”AND I BECAME THE MEMBER OF TCS”….

Success Story Ajit Kuchekar ADCET 2014

Posted by Suhel Sayyad
Hello Readers,

Here we present you another success story from one of alumni of Department of Information Technology, ADCET Ashta. Mr Ajit Kuchekar he got placed in Persistent Systems Pune. Do read his success story to find proper do's and dont's for your preparation for Persistent Systems Pune.

Success Story Ajit Kuchekar ADCET 2014

Success Story Ajit Kuchekar ADCET 2014

When we enter into a final year of graduation our aim is to get placed into a good company. When my final year was started I also think about that, and I started preparation about the same. But question is that, what to prepare? Because each company looking for different personality (kind of knowledge/character). So, how single person to be a having different personality ? For that reason we must having a dynamic personality (change our self as per the situation/world/demand).(for e.g. TCS looking for good communication whereas Persistent looking for good technical).

When I got information that TCS is going to come for campus in our college, and I was sure about getting selected, because I was in a topper  list, there is no aptitude for me ,only GD, technical & HR interviews. I regularly studied the all subjects from 2nd year (IIIrd sem) seriously, so technical round was not big issue for me. And also, if you are having good character and communication, then clear HR round is not big task for you. And for GD you must have overall world knowledge with good communication. But unfortunately due to my gap in education they were not allowed me to attend the TCS campus. But there is lots of companies, so you have to continue the preparation. And before 20-25 days, I got information that Persistent is going to come for campus. So, you have to always ready for campus because we don’t no when and which company will come for campus.

Persistent having aptitude and technical round (1 or 2), HR is only for formality. Persistent having technical aptitude (10% general+90%technical) so, I prepared technically well. I have solved objective Q from net (indiabix.com) and also other pdf papers and also our regular subjects because no Q will come other than  our syllabus(for technical only). For technical following subjects included: OS, DS, TCS, C/C++, Networking, DB, SE, Java, etc. Also have 1 program to implement and paragraph writing. So, I practiced c/c++ programs specially file handling and looping statements.

For general aptitude, I had material given by  the Sanir Kittur sir, which help a lot to clear quantitative aptitude. At that time I have cleared the aptitude, now next was technical round. Technical is always tough round in Persistent. But I have studied all subjects very well so at that time I have not done any other special things for technical. If you study your regular subjects seriously then no need to give extra time for technical preparation. One  book I have referred that was Technical Interview Q (by Koirala <available in ADCET library>). My technical was taken by the senior panel ,so I was having only one chance (if junior panel then 2 rounds). My technical was good and I answered almost all Q. Following Q were asked to me:

1.    Describe yourself(Ans: my personal information, education details, about myself, favorite subject, interest)....So according to my favorite subject they divert towards them(OS ,Networking)
2.    What is scheduler?
3.    What are the scheduling algorithms?
4.    Working of each algorithm.
5.    They given a problem based on scheduling algorithm.
6.    What is complexity?
7.    Types of complexity?
8.    Why and how to measure complexity?
9.    Other Q based on that.
10.    Searching and sorting techniques.
11.    Which one is better and why?
12.    Problem is given on search in and find out the iterations needed to complete? Is there any formula to calculate the iterations?
13.    About project.
14.    About program which was asked for aptitude.
15.    What is your strength?
16.    Do you have any Q for me?
17.    And other.....................

I clear the technical round and nominated for HR. HR was only for formality and documentation.
So, my suggestion is that before going for campus first of all gathers information regarding the campus requirement process of that company. Because based  on that we can make a conclusion that what kind of specialty into an individual company looking for and according that we can prepare for the same. Because different companies looking for different specialties within a candidates.

Basically all companies having following rounds:
1.    Aptitude
2.    GD
3.    Technical
4.    HR
If candidate is technically strong having good communication skills and personality with overall worlds activities knowledge (current/past) , no company will reject the candidate.
Finally all credit of my campus selection goes to staff of our department (teaching/non-teaching). Due to their regular support and motivation it’s became possible me to do hard work and achieve success.

Success Story Diana D'Souza ADCET 2014

Posted by Suhel Sayyad
Hello Readers,

Here we bring to our readers another success story from Diana D'Souza Student of Computer Science and Engineering, ADCET Ashta. She got placed at Persistent Systems Pune. Below is her success story in her own words.

Success Story Diana D'Souza ADCET 2014

Success Story Diana D'Souza ADCET 2014

First of all I’ll start from my campus preparation which I started from my second semester of  third year of engineering. This preparation was for the first company which always comes first for the campus drive that was tcs.But company criteria was to take only first five topers for the selection process and I was not eligible for that company . It was very guilty and angry feeling that I could not face the first company. I continued my preparation for  the next company.
Second company came which was Persistent Systems Ltd. When Sayyad sir told that it was eligible for all students with specific criteria. And I was very happy that I was eligible for that company, so I continued my preparation accordingly and specially for technical subjects that was C,C++.

Finally the company arrived on 17th October 2014 at my college. There were actually four rounds for the selection process.
1. Technical  aptitude.
2. Technical interview first.
3. Technical interview second.
4. HR interview.

First round was technical aptitude which was held on my college. This round was 60% depend on pure technical knowledge of C and C++ and another 40% for general aptitude and English section.
I cleared that round and got selected for the next round which was at KIT college Kolhapur on 18th October  9:00 AM onwards. When I reached I was still remembering which points ,subjects I forgot to prepare and feeling depressed. Just I was hoping for the best and trying to get all that I read. Suddenly my name was announced for the interview and got scared a lot. I went with confidence and little bit fear in my mind.

Interviewer directly told me “Come Diana, sit and write the algo on bubble sort”. I was speechless  that time and did not expected that situation. Without asking me anything or any intro he just told me to write algo. I hold myself for a while and took god’s name. And then  got ready for the algo. I wrote algo and next question came to add elements for that array. I took time to write but I gave my all efforts and solve that problem. Now next question was for to delete that elements. I wrote correctly as much possible but not in proper way. Then he asked me a lot of questions on basics of C and algorithms which I answered maximum write. This process was continued for the long time till 1:50 hour.

Then he leave me with a message “ Go, and sit. HR will come to u.”. I could not understood for a minute what he said ,then I got that I was selected for the next HR round. But formally still result  was pending. And after long time of waiting that coordinator  came to me and told “You are going for the HR round.”.That was magical moment for me and I was sure that I was selected because HR round was just for nominal. I was lucky that interviewer did not send me to next technical round.

Finally the third round which was HR round took place. I was waiting for my interview outside.I was with Mr. Arif sir and Sayyad sir discussing on interview process. And I was very happy and exiting and told to sir that “ I will select for sure”.
When I gave interview of HR he just asked me about myself ,my hobbies, my favorite actor, favorite sportsman etc. and interview got finished.

After an hour the results got announced and finally I got placed in Persistent Systems Ltd and my dream comes true.
This success I dedicated to my lovely parents, my teachers and my best buddies in my life ever.

Success Story Abhay Jadhav SGGS Nanded 2014-15

I heard news of  TCS on-campus  will be held on 4th & 5th September 2014 in our college. I am aware that TCS is Asia’s biggest CMMI level 5 company. It is the Dream Company for every student who wants to make carrier in IT sector. I have already heard most about TCS from my brother, so I appeared for drive with lot of excitement.

Criteria for campus drive for MTech students

  • CGPA of MTech 1st year:- 8.3 & above.
  • UG degree aggregate:- 60% & above (Aggregate including from 1st sem to 8th sem)
  • 10th & 12th marks should >= 75%

The above mentioned criteria is for direct verbal test .Those students who didn’t satisfies above criteria will first need to go Aptitude & verbal test combine.
As I satisfied above criteria, I appeared directly to verbal test. I successfully cracked the verbal test round & then my interview process was started.

My first Interview was technical interview

There were two peoples for my technical interview. It was around 45 minutes. First they asked me about my final year project of BE. I had explained them briefly about my project. They also asked me about my role in a project & at what percent my contribution was there in a project. Then question was asked on two real time examples of Neural Network as my project was on the NN.
They had also asked questions on my strengths & on special interest subject which I had mentioned in my resume.

My Second Interview was Management interview

Management panel includes two peoples who started interview with questions like “first explain about yourself”.
Then asked few tricky questions like” Tell me about five professional things which can differentiate you from other students as a TCS employee”,” have you know any latest news about software company”.
Finally they asked me the preference for job location. Both two people liked the resume mostly & they appreciate for my all achievements which I mentioned in resume.

Third interview was HR but I hadn’t appeared it as I got selected on the basis of first two round only.

Hello Readers,

Here is the success story for you. All were eagerly waiting for this one. Yes, this is from a TCS Placed Candidate Supriya Mohite from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, ADCET Ashta. So you would be eagerly waiting to listen to this Success Story. Below is success story in her own words.

Success Story Supriya Mohite ADCET 2014

Career building is a tough procedure. It takes patients & hard work to be own self as a successful professional.First interview is always a special experience in anyone's life & surely the TCSer makes it more special. It was a big dream for me work in TCS and ofcourse I cant express my feelings when I got to know that I was selected for the best company in the world. I can't forget the day I got the offer letter.

At very first  our college announced name of five students of CSE dept that are eligible for TCS. I was shoked that I was eligible for TCS.Then I would come to know that TCS has first round on 20th September 2013 at RIT college Islampur. Our TPO “Prof Sayyad Sir” told us first round was “Email Writing” for that you have time of ten minutes  and if you want to crack that round you have to practice for email on MS word or any other tool that will help you for writing email , because of that you would get good writing speed as well as less spelling mistake. I follow the instruction given by Sayyad sir and practic for email using MS Word.

Finally that day came i.e  20th September  and we went to RIT Islampur, there were so many students for first round . By seeing all students I was little bit  nervous. But  I motivated myself and I boost up for first round. I went to exam hall and started with email writing. There were 10-12 words given for writing email and only 10 minutes, by arranging all words in sequential manner and given time I wrote a mail. For writing mail the time is very important factor. Next day there was result of that round and Sayyad sir told the result to me and I was surprised that I was shortlisted for next round, I was very happy that time.

Next round was on 30th September 2013 at TCS branch Pune.  I reach to TCS branch Hinjewadi on 30th September at 8 AM. There were total 3 rounds. 1. Technical Round, 2. Management Round, 3. HR Round

In Technical round they ask me questions related to Operating system, Software Engineering, Computer Network, Database, C, and ask me to explain TE project. Some questions are what is OS? , What are types of OS? , What is deadlock?, Difference between real time and multiprocessor system?,What is multiprocessor system?    What is Software Engineering? , What is SDLC? , What are models in Software Engeering?, Draw Waterfall model and Spiral model and explain difference between them? What is OSI Model draw and explain? Explain Join. Why it is used? Write a query to retrieve first 1000 rows from table? Write a program to reverse a string. This is all about technical round,  after  half an hour I got my result and I was shortlisted for MR.

Management Round was totally depends on my final year project. After cracking the MR, final round was HR round. In HR Round first question for me was to introduce yourself?  The next question was Tell me your strengths? What you know about TCS?  Why should I hire you? Next question was What are other skills you have? Final question for me was Do you have any question for me? This is all about my 3 rounds.

For HR round I would like to say some important points that you should know 2 or 3 strength and weaknesses  about yourself with explanations. You must know about company profile  in detail and you should able to explain yourself in very well manner and so on.

After completing all rounds next day i.e 1st October 2013 there was result and  I was very afraid about result which was given to our TPO  Arif sir. At time passes my heart beats were increasing for getting result. At 11 am on 1st October I made call to Arif sir and asked about result, sir told me that you are got placed in TCS, now you are a part of TCS family. Really I was very excited when I heard that, I was part of TCS family. I feel it's my honor to be get placed in it. I was really very happy because I can see a huge blow of happiness on my parents face. My family was happy and it was something good to share with my wellwishers. I am feeling pride to be a part of TATA group. I am really thankful to GOD, Parents, Teachers, Friends and TCS for giving this opportunity. The first interview faced and cracked at the end gave immense joy and happiness. The assurance of my secured future among expertise gave the delight worth remembering.

Hello Readers

We bring to your third in the series. The Success Story of one more proud student of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, ADCET Ashta. He is proud alumni recruited in Persistent Systems Pune. He has put a lot of efforts to write this success story with more detailed discussion on what he experienced in the campus interview rounds.

Success Story Yogesh Khopade ADCET Ashta 2014

Success Story Yogesh Khopade ADCET Ashta 2014

15 days before the campus interview of Persistent Systems, Pune, I started the preparation. My primary focus is on the basic technical things. In these days I brushed up my basic knowledge on C, C++, Data Structure etc.

One day before the interview there was an aptitude test, which was combination of all the basic subjects of our stream. Aptitude was good and I got shortlisted for next.

On 18th Oct. 2013, Interview was scheduled in three rounds at KIT, Kolhapur. I got call for junior poll technical round. He had one form in his hand over which some subjects was listed like Computer network, Data Structure, C, C++, Operating System, Database Systems etc. He puts his finger on list and started asking questions sequentially. After listening my answer, he wrote remark (i.e. poor, average, good and best) for each subject. I was in the range of average and good for all the subjects. In this round I felt like I was in Rapid fire round.

After junior poll I was shortlisted for senior poll. There were two senior interviewers in approximately one hour interview. I was felt confident because I studied a lot on projects and programming as well, and whole interview based on it. For every project they require brief description and my role in each project. They told me to write some programs from C++ and Java. Also they asked me two puzzles, which I solved correctly. Lastly they gave me chance to ask questions to them, for getting benefit of it, I asked two organization domain related questions which I was already prepared.

Finally I got call for HR round as I expected. HR round was casual talk with interviewer like self-introduction, educational details etc. They declared result and I got selected.

In my point of view my project presentation, real life examples that I was given, answers on puzzles and questions to interviewers are the keys to achieve this milestone. So, I recommend fresher’s to prepare well these things.

Below is detailed questions list for the interviews

Success Story Shweta Pote ADCET Ashta 2014

Posted by Suhel Sayyad
Hello Readers,

Here we bring to our readers second success story. This is from Shweta Pote, Student of Computer Science and Engineering Department, ADCET Ashta. She got placed through campus interviews in L n T Infotech. Below is success story in his own words.

Success Story Shweta Pote ADCET Ashta 2014

Success Story Shweta Pote ADCET 2014

The preparation for getting placed in a company starts on the very first day of your college I would say. Whatever you learn each day is going to help you somewhere. Things those helped me to get placed in L & T infotech are Practice of aptitude test questions and good English communication skill.

Our college arranged several aptitude classes and many personality development sessions and I took full benefits of such sessions. Reading English novels and story books helped me to improve my vocabulary. Participating and working in various events built my confidence.

We attended L & T infotech campus pool on 5th of February 2014 at JJMCOE, Jaysingpur. There were total five rounds. First round was aptitude test which had three sections: Quantitative, Logical reasoning and Verbal. There were total 60 questions and we were expected to solve them in 60 minutes. There was sectional cut-off. In such a case time management is the factor that we need to take care of.

Next round was Group discussion and topic was “Can India progress ahead with dictatorship?” What and how you talk matters in GD.

Next round was paragraph writing and topic for that was “Kids today more techno savvy.” In this round they just checked our written communication skill.

Fourth round was technical interview. We were expected to be clear with our basics. HR asked me questions like: Introduce yourself, what you did in projects?, What are pointers and how they work?, Role of firewall, What  is tristate logic?, Explain microprocessor 8085 in detail, which companies manufactures microprocessors?, What are interrupts?, List names of flags in 8085 flag register, Why should we hire you? And any questions for me?

Last round was HR round and it was just for the sake of formality.  One more thing I must mention is, one should be prepared with all his documents, Xerox copies of those and photographs.

I would suggest all juniors to take benefits of placement related activities in your college, sharp your basics and grab opportunities.

In this Series, we will bring to you success story of First Candidate. Let me introduce her to our readers. She is Jyothi Sargar, Student of Computer Science and Engineering Department, ADCET Ashta from 2014 pass out batch. Below is her success story written by her.

Success Story: Jyothi Sargar ADCET Ashta 2014.

Success Story: Jyothi Sargar ADCET Ashta 2014.

Jyothi Sargar ( in her own words)

Elitmus helped me a lot in finding a job without any trouble. I performed well in Elitmus and got the job opportunity from CGI IT Industry and grabbed it.

Firstly after giving PH test I was called for interview on 2nd August. I had attended an off campus in Hyderabad.

There were rounds first round written test i.e. aptitude test consists of quantitative, passages, analogies, sentence correction, series and logical reasoning. Second round was group discussion there was talk on the simple topics, they selected who spoke meaningful and confidently. Then technical round as I was hiring for dot net developer the most questions was on dot net, database, SQL queries and simple programs. This round was quite easy as we are familiar to those subjects. Next was management round that was all about final year project. Last HR round it was a casual chat to introduce ourselves and what we know about the Company and simple questions like our hobbies, strength etc. In all rounds the candidates were shortlisted. I got selected.

I recommend job seekers to take Elitmus PH test because most of the MNCs are now hiring through PH score.

Now for our readers if you are interested to know more about ELitmus test read this article on Elitmus process.

Hope you like this initiative. Please comment below to share your thoughts on this series.
