Success Story Supriya Mohite ADCET 2014

Career building is a tough procedure. It takes patients & hard work to be own self as a successful professional.First interview is always a special experience in anyone's life & surely the TCSer makes it more special. It was a big dream for me work in TCS and ofcourse I cant express my feelings when I got to know that I was selected for the best company in the world. I can't forget the day I got the offer letter.

At very first  our college announced name of five students of CSE dept that are eligible for TCS. I was shoked that I was eligible for TCS.Then I would come to know that TCS has first round on 20th September 2013 at RIT college Islampur. Our TPO “Prof Sayyad Sir” told us first round was “Email Writing” for that you have time of ten minutes  and if you want to crack that round you have to practice for email on MS word or any other tool that will help you for writing email , because of that you would get good writing speed as well as less spelling mistake. I follow the instruction given by Sayyad sir and practic for email using MS Word.

Finally that day came i.e  20th September  and we went to RIT Islampur, there were so many students for first round . By seeing all students I was little bit  nervous. But  I motivated myself and I boost up for first round. I went to exam hall and started with email writing. There were 10-12 words given for writing email and only 10 minutes, by arranging all words in sequential manner and given time I wrote a mail. For writing mail the time is very important factor. Next day there was result of that round and Sayyad sir told the result to me and I was surprised that I was shortlisted for next round, I was very happy that time.

Next round was on 30th September 2013 at TCS branch Pune.  I reach to TCS branch Hinjewadi on 30th September at 8 AM. There were total 3 rounds. 1. Technical Round, 2. Management Round, 3. HR Round

In Technical round they ask me questions related to Operating system, Software Engineering, Computer Network, Database, C, and ask me to explain TE project. Some questions are what is OS? , What are types of OS? , What is deadlock?, Difference between real time and multiprocessor system?,What is multiprocessor system?    What is Software Engineering? , What is SDLC? , What are models in Software Engeering?, Draw Waterfall model and Spiral model and explain difference between them? What is OSI Model draw and explain? Explain Join. Why it is used? Write a query to retrieve first 1000 rows from table? Write a program to reverse a string. This is all about technical round,  after  half an hour I got my result and I was shortlisted for MR.

Management Round was totally depends on my final year project. After cracking the MR, final round was HR round. In HR Round first question for me was to introduce yourself?  The next question was Tell me your strengths? What you know about TCS?  Why should I hire you? Next question was What are other skills you have? Final question for me was Do you have any question for me? This is all about my 3 rounds.

For HR round I would like to say some important points that you should know 2 or 3 strength and weaknesses  about yourself with explanations. You must know about company profile  in detail and you should able to explain yourself in very well manner and so on.

After completing all rounds next day i.e 1st October 2013 there was result and  I was very afraid about result which was given to our TPO  Arif sir. At time passes my heart beats were increasing for getting result. At 11 am on 1st October I made call to Arif sir and asked about result, sir told me that you are got placed in TCS, now you are a part of TCS family. Really I was very excited when I heard that, I was part of TCS family. I feel it's my honor to be get placed in it. I was really very happy because I can see a huge blow of happiness on my parents face. My family was happy and it was something good to share with my wellwishers. I am feeling pride to be a part of TATA group. I am really thankful to GOD, Parents, Teachers, Friends and TCS for giving this opportunity. The first interview faced and cracked at the end gave immense joy and happiness. The assurance of my secured future among expertise gave the delight worth remembering.

Success Story Yogesh Khopade ADCET Ashta 2014

15 days before the campus interview of Persistent Systems, Pune, I started the preparation. My primary focus is on the basic technical things. In these days I brushed up my basic knowledge on C, C++, Data Structure etc.

One day before the interview there was an aptitude test, which was combination of all the basic subjects of our stream. Aptitude was good and I got shortlisted for next.

On 18th Oct. 2013, Interview was scheduled in three rounds at KIT, Kolhapur. I got call for junior poll technical round. He had one form in his hand over which some subjects was listed like Computer network, Data Structure, C, C++, Operating System, Database Systems etc. He puts his finger on list and started asking questions sequentially. After listening my answer, he wrote remark (i.e. poor, average, good and best) for each subject. I was in the range of average and good for all the subjects. In this round I felt like I was in Rapid fire round.

After junior poll I was shortlisted for senior poll. There were two senior interviewers in approximately one hour interview. I was felt confident because I studied a lot on projects and programming as well, and whole interview based on it. For every project they require brief description and my role in each project. They told me to write some programs from C++ and Java. Also they asked me two puzzles, which I solved correctly. Lastly they gave me chance to ask questions to them, for getting benefit of it, I asked two organization domain related questions which I was already prepared.

Finally I got call for HR round as I expected. HR round was casual talk with interviewer like self-introduction, educational details etc. They declared result and I got selected.

In my point of view my project presentation, real life examples that I was given, answers on puzzles and questions to interviewers are the keys to achieve this milestone. So, I recommend fresher’s to prepare well these things.

Hello Readers,

Here we bring to our readers second success story. This is from Shweta Pote, Student of Computer Science and Engineering Department, ADCET Ashta. She got placed through campus interviews in L n T Infotech. Below is success story in his own words.

Success Story Shweta Pote ADCET Ashta 2014

Success Story Shweta Pote ADCET 2014

The preparation for getting placed in a company starts on the very first day of your college I would say. Whatever you learn each day is going to help you somewhere. Things those helped me to get placed in L & T infotech are Practice of aptitude test questions and good English communication skill.

Our college arranged several aptitude classes and many personality development sessions and I took full benefits of such sessions. Reading English novels and story books helped me to improve my vocabulary. Participating and working in various events built my confidence.

We attended L & T infotech campus pool on 5th of February 2014 at JJMCOE, Jaysingpur. There were total five rounds. First round was aptitude test which had three sections: Quantitative, Logical reasoning and Verbal. There were total 60 questions and we were expected to solve them in 60 minutes. There was sectional cut-off. In such a case time management is the factor that we need to take care of.

Next round was Group discussion and topic was “Can India progress ahead with dictatorship?” What and how you talk matters in GD.

Next round was paragraph writing and topic for that was “Kids today more techno savvy.” In this round they just checked our written communication skill.

Fourth round was technical interview. We were expected to be clear with our basics. HR asked me questions like: Introduce yourself, what you did in projects?, What are pointers and how they work?, Role of firewall, What  is tristate logic?, Explain microprocessor 8085 in detail, which companies manufactures microprocessors?, What are interrupts?, List names of flags in 8085 flag register, Why should we hire you? And any questions for me?

Last round was HR round and it was just for the sake of formality.  One more thing I must mention is, one should be prepared with all his documents, Xerox copies of those and photographs.

I would suggest all juniors to take benefits of placement related activities in your college, sharp your basics and grab opportunities.

Success Story: Jyothi Sargar ADCET Ashta 2014.

Jyothi Sargar ( in her own words)

Elitmus helped me a lot in finding a job without any trouble. I performed well in Elitmus and got the job opportunity from CGI IT Industry and grabbed it.

Firstly after giving PH test I was called for interview on 2nd August. I had attended an off campus in Hyderabad.

There were rounds first round written test i.e. aptitude test consists of quantitative, passages, analogies, sentence correction, series and logical reasoning. Second round was group discussion there was talk on the simple topics, they selected who spoke meaningful and confidently. Then technical round as I was hiring for dot net developer the most questions was on dot net, database, SQL queries and simple programs. This round was quite easy as we are familiar to those subjects. Next was management round that was all about final year project. Last HR round it was a casual chat to introduce ourselves and what we know about the Company and simple questions like our hobbies, strength etc. In all rounds the candidates were shortlisted. I got selected.

I recommend job seekers to take Elitmus PH test because most of the MNCs are now hiring through PH score.

Now for our readers if you are interested to know more about ELitmus test read this article on Elitmus process.

Hope you like this initiative. Please comment below to share your thoughts on this series.

A turn consists of moving the coin on the top to a position i below the top coin (0 = i = 20). We will call this an i-move (thus a 0-move implies doing nothing). The proviso is that an i-move cannot be repeated; for example once a player makes a 2-move, on subsequent turns neither player can make a 2-move. If the gold coin happens to be on top when it’s a player’s turn then the player wins the game. Initially, the gold coins the third coin from the top. Then
